Molly McGhee ’16 Talks about her Debut Novel

Join alumna Molly McGhee ’16 as she discusses her debut novel Jonathan Abernathy You Are Kind with Dr. Tanya Lee Stone, professor in the Professional Writing Program.

This highly anticipated debut novel follows its protagonist Jonathan Abernathy as he finds a job auditing the dreams of working-class Americans in order to pay off his massive debt. When the line between the dream world and the real world starts to blur, Abernathy begins to question the morality of his new income source, but can’t quite bring himself to quit. A surrealist capitalist critique, Jonathan Abernathy You Are Kind is also a bit of a love story, with its protagonist finding a makeshift family along the way.
